Management Accountability Framework Assessments

The Management Accountability Framework (MAF) establishes the standards for modern management in the Government of Canada.  It provides an accountability framework for deputy heads to ensure that the criteria and expectations for effective management are in place to achieve results for Canadians.  Implementing modern management practices is a priority for WD.

Included in MAF is an annual process of Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) assessment of federal departments and agencies, including Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD).  This analysis, along with our ongoing management activity, results in management improvement action plans followed by public reporting on the state of management.
