Following the announcement, there was a tour of TRIUMF. Here, Dr. Schaffer describes the workings of the GMP Lab - which benefitted from previous WD funding - to Minister Rempel.

Today, the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced funding of $5.5 million to support Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics in procuring a new TR-24 cyclotron and the development of the Institute for Accelerator-based Medical Isotopes (IAMI).
